About the Job Role:
As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing advanced IoT-enabled
health monitoring devices, ensuring high reliability, low power consumption, and seamless integration
with AI-driven analytics platforms. You will work with the latest trends in edge computing, wireless
communication, and power-efficient electronics to create an innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
End-to-End Hardware Design: Design, develop, and optimize electronic hardware for smart pet
health monitoring devices, considering performance, power efficiency, and miniaturization.
Schematic Design & PCB Layout: Develop schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using
industry-leading design tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, Cadence).
Component Selection & BOM Management: Select cost-effective, high-reliability components,
ensuring supply chain sustainability and lifecycle management.
High-Speed & Mixed-Signal Design: Develop circuits with high-speed interfaces (MIPI, USB,
PCIe, SPI, I2C), mixed-signal processing, and low-noise analog front-end.
Wireless Connectivity: Design and integrate BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, NFC, and other RF-based
communication systems for seamless IoT connectivity.
Power Management: Design efficient power delivery systems, including battery management, DC-
DC converters, and ultra-low-power designs for extended device runtime.
EMI/EMC & Compliance: Ensure compliance with FCC, CE, RoHS, IEC, and industry safety
standards, optimizing designs for minimal interference and signal integrity.
Prototyping & Validation: Bring up, debug, and validate hardware using advanced lab equipment
(oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, power analyzers).
Firmware & AI Integration: Work closely with embedded firmware engineers and AI/ML
teams to optimize hardware for real-time data acquisition and processing.
Thermal & Mechanical Considerations: Collaborate with mechanical engineers to optimize
PCB enclosures, heat dissipation, and durability in real-world conditions.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Testability (DFT): Ensure scalable, cost-effective
production by coordinating with fabrication and assembly teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
(EEE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years in hardware design for IoT, consumer electronics, or medical devices.
Industry Tools Expertise: Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, Cadence) and
simulation tools (LTspice, Ansys, CST, HFSS).
Hands-on Debugging & Testing: Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power
analyzers, signal generators, and RF test equipment.
Wireless & RF Experience: Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, NFC, UWB, and antenna
design considerations.
Low-Power Embedded Design: Experience in battery-operated devices, ultra-low- power
electronics, and power optimization techniques.
Additional Information
Location: Bangalore (Office-based role; applicants must be in Bangalore or willing to relocate.)
