We are hiring on behalf of a leading product company for the position of Senior Node.js / TypeScript Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Node.js / TypeScript Engineer to design, build, and scale our backend services and platforms. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the systems that power our voice AI products, no-code workflow tools, APIs, and real-time applications. This is a hands-on position that requires coding excellence, architectural insight, strong API integration skills, and effective cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and platform components using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Build and optimize workflow-driven and real-time systems, such as WebSocket and event-driven pipelines, to ensure high performance and scalability.

• Integrate with various third-party APIs and SDKs, including Azure Speech, ElevenLabs, Exotel, and Plivo, to enhance our service capabilities.

• Model and manage data efficiently in MongoDB, focusing on performance optimization and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, product, machine learning (ML), and DevOps teams to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.

• Drive system design initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.

• Implement and enforce best practices for security, testing, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and observability.

• Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and elevating overall engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 4+ years of focused experience using Node.js and TypeScript.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing, optimization, and scaling strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to design and consume APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrate third-party SDKs effectively.

• Practical experience with workflow engines or no-code/low-code platforms.

• Familiarity with real-time systems, such as WebSockets, streaming technologies, and publish-subscribe (pub/sub) architectures.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Redis or message queue systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
